Family Values

I am the youngest and only girl of three kids, I was expected to take care of myself. These responsibility including getting myself up and ready for school, making my lunch, doing my own laundry, and cooking dinner. Now that I am in a common-law relationship with children my responsibility have increased to taking care of the boys needs, cleaning the house, and getting an education, so i can support them.

In my family I do the house work, take care of the boys and go to school. My partner works, cooks  and takes care of the boys when I'm gone. We do the yard work together. My partner and i work good together, we share responsibilities as equals. Unlike my parents my mom did everything and my dad did nothing.

My family celebrated birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, easter, mothers day, Father's Day  and we would camp every summer for June and July. As an adult with my own family we celebrate birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother day, Fathers day, Canada day and our anniversary.

In assessing my values, I've realized I have more intangible values such as love, family, happiness, trust, and achievement. Tangible values I have are money, computer, camera and rollerblades. If I had to give up one value from each list i would choose roller blades and achievement, because there both on the bottom of my list. The hardest for me to give up would be my camera because I love taking lots of pictures of my boys, and of places I go. The hardest from intangible would be family because with family comes love, happiness, joy and so much more.
