Ragdoll Cats

Ragdoll Cats

History: Ann Baker breed Persian cats. In 1960, Ann breed her neighbours long-haired white cat with her Siamese mixed with Persian. In December 1975 Ann Baker patented the name Ragdolls for the first time.

General: The reason these cats are called Ragdolls is because when they are picked up they have the tendency to go limp and relaxed. This breed of cat are mainly blue eyed, large muscular, semi-long-haired with distinct colour point silky coat. They are slow growers, takes up to four years to reach full physical maturity. Males grow to be 15 to 20 lbs, as females grow to be 12 to 15 lbs.

Personality: Ragdoll cats have a nickname Puppy cats because of their devotion to their owners. They are very fascinated by water, they love attention, to play. They are calm, docile cuddly little felines. They make a great first pet, friend for another pet, great with kids and families.
